Sugar scrubs and body polishes are both designed to exfoliate dull, dry surface skin, but they do not always provide the same experience.

At Halian’s Creations, our Sugar Scrub and Luxe Body Polish begin with the same signature foaming butter base, handcrafted from scratch in small batches. The difference comes from the exfoliants and finishing touches added to each product.

Our Signature House-Made Base

We make our foaming butter base from scratch rather than starting with a premade scrub base.

After preparing the base, we blend it with Sugar, Apricot kernel oil, MCT coconut oil, vitamin E, fragrance and a preservative. This creates a creamy scrub that lightly foams as it cleanses and exfoliates the skin.

What Is Our Sugar Scrub?

Our Sugar Scrub is the simpler option. Sugar is the primary exfoliant, and no additional shimmer or specialty exfoliants are added.

What Is Luxe Body Polish?

Luxe Body Polish begins with the same signature house-made base. It is then elevated with a touch of shimmer and an additional specialty exfoliant.

Our current specialty exfoliants include:

• Coffee grounds

• Dead Sea salt

• Demerara sugar

As the Luxe Body Polish collection expands, selected varieties may also feature:

• Apricot seed powder

• Black sea salt

• Walnut seed powder

• Fine pumice powder

• Jojoba beads

Each exfoliant creates a different texture and polishing experience. We carefully pair the exfoliant with the product’s fragrance and overall presentation.

The added shimmer gives Luxe Body Polish a beautiful finish and a more indulgent, spa-inspired appearance.

Each specialty exfoliant offers a slightly different experience:

• Coffee grounds provide a bold and noticeable texture.

• Demerara sugar offers larger sugar crystals for a more textured polish.

• Dead Sea salt and black sea salt create a mineral salt-polish experience.

• Apricot seed and walnut seed powders provide a fine botanical texture.

• Fine pumice powder is best reserved for rough areas such as the feet, heels and elbows.

• Jojoba beads provide a smooth, rounded exfoliating option.

Which Product Should You Choose?

Choose our Sugar Scrub when you want simple sugar exfoliation without shimmer or additional exfoliating ingredients.

Choose Luxe Body Polish when you want a distinctive texture, subtle shimmer and a specialty exfoliant selected to enhance your experience.

Both products cleanse and exfoliate. Your choice depends on whether you prefer a simple sugar scrub or a more elevated body polish.

How to Use

Apply a small amount to damp skin and massage gently using circular motions. Rinse thoroughly and pat the skin dry.

Use one or two times per week, depending on your skin’s needs. Avoid using these products on the face, broken or irritated skin, or freshly shaved areas. Always use light pressure, especially with stronger exfoliants.

The oils in these products may make the shower or bathtub slippery. Rinse the surface after use and step carefully.
